Why doesn't the Paddle Maker design tool work on my mobile device?

Our website was launched in 2009 and, at the time, the best choice of technology for our click-and-drag workspace was Flash. Unfortunately, Flash is not supported for mobile devices. We are in the process of overhauling our technology so that it is responsive on mobile devices and desktop browsers alike but, until we roll out our new website, the Paddle Maker design tool is only compatible with a desktop or laptop running Internet Explorer or Google Chrome.

How do I enable Flash in Google Chrome?

  1. Open Google Chrome
  2. Locate the URL box at the top of your browser window (where you enter web addresses), type in chrome://settings/content and hit enter
  3. Scroll down to the section under the Flash heading and click on the button labeled "Manage exceptions...".
  4. Locate the text box under "Hostname pattern", type and set the behavior to "Allow"
  5. Click "Done" to close the Flash exceptions window
  6. Click "Done" to close the Content settings window
  7. Open (or refresh) and you should find that the site is now functional in Chrome

How do I enable Flash in Internet Explorer?

  1. Open Internet Explorer
  2. Click on the tools menu in the upper right-hand corner of your browser window
  3. Click on "Manage add-ons"
  4. In the window that opens, select "Tool bars and Extensions" under Add-on types (in the left-hand frame)
  5. Under "Adobe Systems, Inc." in the right-hand frame, click on "Shockwave Flash Object"
  6. Click "Enable" in the lower-right corner of the window
  7. Click "Close" to close the Manage add-ons window
  8. Open (or refresh) and you should find that the site is now functional in Internet Explorer

Building a Paddle

  1. Select a paddle from the Paddle selector in the right column.
  2. Once the paddle has loaded in the workspace on the left, use the other selectors to add components to the workspace.
  3. Once you have added items to the workspace, you may click and drag on them to arrange your design. Items can be rotated by clicking once on the small circle to the upper left of each graphic (click again to disable rotate mode).
  4. When you are done designing your paddle, we HIGHLY SUGGEST that you set the view to 50% before proceeding to checkout. This will ensure that the workspace graphic is at an optimal size for your invoice printout.
  5. Click Add to Cart. Your cart will open in a new window (please note: you will need to enable pop-ups for your cart to open)
  6. Log in (if you are a returning user) or register (if you are a new user)
  7. Proceed to checkout

Saving a Paddle for Later

If you want to return to your paddle at a later time, click Save for Later. You will be prompted to Log in (if you are a returning user) or register (if you are a new user). Once saved, you can retrieve your paddle by logging in via the login link located in the upper right corner of the paddle design screen. Once logged in, click Build a Paddle and wait for your saved paddle to load.

What Comes with Your Order?

Your paddle and the individual components will be shipped to you via UPS. The product WILL NOT BE ASSEMBLED and you will need to glue the pieces together upon receipt (we provide the option of purchasing wood glue for this purpose). HELPFUL HINT: Many customers wish to paint the paddle and it's components with your organization colors. We highly suggest that all pieces be painted and allowed to dry BEFORE assembly.

The Paddle Maker only ships paddles via UPS.

When can you expect to receive your order?

Once your payment has been processed, your order will ship within 24-48 business hours (Monday-Friday). We ship out of the San Francisco Bay Area and, once the order has been picked up by UPS, ground shipping usually takes 1-2 business days to the west coast, 2-4 business days to the mid-west, and 5 business days to the east coast (Please note that Saturday and Sunday are not considered as "business days" to UPS). When placing your order, please keep this order processing and transit time in mind as we are unable to change an order to expedited shipping once the package has been picked up by the carrier.

What is the Paddle Maker's returns policy?

Returns must be requested within 7 days of receipt. The customer is responsible for shipping the items back via a traceable means (i.e. UPS, Fed-Ex, or USPS with tracking services) and the return must be received within 10 business days of the request for return. Upon receipt, the customer will be credited for all items received in saleable condition. The Paddle Maker will not be held responsible for any items that have been broken or damaged in transit back to our facility. As such, it is imperative that all items are packed carefully to protect the merchandise. The customer will not be reimbursed for any shipping charges (outbound or inbound) unless there was an error in fulfillment.
